Friday Pile Up

Several Fridays have piled up on me. I could skip them, but then I wouldn't get to share with you what I've been up to lately.

Does your school collect Box Tops? We do, and we compete. Each month the winning class gets the grade level trophy for the month. My class won for September, and they lost their mind when the principal announced it. I hope we can hold onto the title for the rest of the year. If we do, then we get a picnic with the principal in May.

We got our 1st lost tooth this week. This little guy got the honors of being first. I wish you could see his toothless smile. Precious!

Ice Bubbles or Fun with Dry Ice! Friday, we wrapped up our matter unit with our 4th grade Cross Trainers by making giant ice bubbles. I had to hold my breath, but we managed to get two to last for about a minute.

Winning! We, also, won the Boosterthon Fun Run door contest for 2nd grade. The theme was "Camp High Five". The entire school was decorated by PTO. My homeroom moms were responsible for the door. Can you see the twinkle lights in the fire. They put each of my students' photo on a star. The funniest part...little pieces of marshmallow kept disappearing. My kids kept blaming "Stanley the Squirrel", Camp High Five's mascot.
The class chose the name Buford's Bobcats. Room moms decorated their shirts with spots. Here are my bobcats ready to run Thursday!

                Pinspiration                                                                     My Version

One of my teammates hosted a Pinterest party. We each brought a project, mostly wreaths and a goodie. I decided to make this wreath. I am so happy with how it turned out. We have lived in our house for 7 years, and I never have been able to find something to hang above the mantle. This wreath solved that problem. Thanks Pinterest!

Hope to see you back here next Friday, but don't hold your breath. Grades are due Friday!
Happy Columbus Day tomorrow!

Updated to include my only Made It this month. I guess I should have just waited to post until Monday.
